VALLEY SOCCER CAMPS

Welcome to Valley Keeper Academy (VKA), a specialized training program designed specifically for goalkeepers by current Utah Valley University Men's Associate Head Coach and former Division 1 college player, Michael Chesler. Chesler, who is also the current Director of Coaching at La Roca FC, founded and leads VKA with his extensive experience in the game.

Chesler began his soccer career in Utah, playing for Utah Rangers, Sparta United, and Mountain View High School, as well as representing Utah and Region IV on the ODP team. Chesler was also a part of the Super Y League RSL Youth Team in Utah, among the first players to join before the existence of the DA/MLS Next.

Chesler played Division 1 college soccer for High Point University in North Carolina, where he garnered numerous accolades as an All-Freshman player, captain, conference champion, and 4-year starter.

Following college, Chesler trained with both RSL and Real Monarchs for a total of 7 years under coaches such as Jason Kreis, Jeff Cassar, Daryl Shore, and Mike Petke. 

Chesler has since worked with players of all levels, ranging from youth to college and even to semi-professional, and has been a Technical Director for over a decade while additionally over 10 years of experience as a college coach.
